Tax-free sales start just after the stroke of midnight at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 2 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 4. The annual tax holiday draws bargain-hunting shoppers from states across the region to scoop up school clothes and uniforms, school supplies, college computers and more before the start of the new school year.
